Conversations Policy
The conversation policy is the guide for users on how they should behave in the different conversation corners of the wiki, either on the message walls, in comments, in article talk pages, or in discussions.
All rules listed on the General Policy page also apply to the Conversation Policy.
General
- Avoid reviving a discussion or comment ("necroposting") if the proceeding post is one month old or more.
- The topic of discussion should be clearly defined in the thread title or have some relation to the content found within the article page.
- Threads containing fanon content can be submitted to the Discussions. Please read the fanon policy if you wish to create a fanon-related thread.
- Respect the staff when they ask you to stop doing something harmful or disruptive.
- It is forbidden to delete messages posted by staff members on your message wall, as this is considered deleting evidence and/or information.
- Don't advertise other wikis or your own content.
- Don't talk about harming characters, whether from this show or another show, even if you don't like them or they have a generally bad reception.
Article talk pages
- Entries on talk pages should be both substantial and relevant to the topic at hand.
- Please limit the use of talk pages to conversations related to editing.
- Discussion of series-related media and characters should take place in Comments and Discussions.
- Editing disputes should not be posted on talk pages, but instead directed to a message wall, either that of the user in dispute or that of a staff member.
- All talk page sections should be labeled with a subject heading.
- If you are only replying, do not add a new heading.
- All users must sign off on their messages using four tildes (~~~~).
- Replies to a message must be indented once over from the original using a colon.
- Replies must be made at the bottom of the previous message.
- Talk page entries that do not meet these standards will be removed.
Comments
- Nonsensical, inappropriate, and off-topic replies are subject to editing and/or deletion.
- Keep your comments/replies of a reasonable length.
- Do not over-quote or over-reply. Only display the quote of the user you are replying to and keep talk page comment reply strings at a reasonable length.
- Pointless comments such as "First", "Second", or what could be seen as randomly inserted characters will be removed.
Discussions
Discussions are a place for members of the community to chat, interact, and debate upon topics of the show and the wiki. The general rules of the wiki apply in Discussions, among specific rules that can be read here:
- Threads and posts that solicit upvotes will be deleted.
- Please keep your posts relevant to the channel topic. For example, discussion and spoiler posts relating to the show should go into "Molly Discussion", while fanmade content should go into "Polls, Fanwork & Fun". Off-topic conversations that are not in the "Off-topic" category will be deleted, while memes will be moved to that category.
- Impersonation of other users or famous people will not be tolerated. If you have been banned and return on a new account, your posts will be deleted and your new account(s) will be banned.
- Spamming, trolling, or vandalizing of any kind will be deleted and will lead to your account being banned. Jibberish and nonsensical posts also constitute as spam, even if they are filed under off-topic. If you have concerns and are seeking input, you may contact a staff member instead.
- When posting The Ghost and Molly McGee fanwork, credit the artist by putting their name and the platform the art was taken from.
- Ask for help. Notice something that doesn't seem right? Or do you just have a question? Contact Fandom staff through "Give feedback" on your app's Settings screen, or via Special:Contact.
