The Ghost and Molly McGee: Spring Shorts-tacular is the third special from Disney to showcase Chibi Tiny Tales and other shorts based on other Disney Television Animation properties.
Synopsis[]
Molly and a reluctant Scratch showcase Disney based shorts for the start of Spring.
Plot[]
It's springtime, and Molly hosts a showcase she calls the "Spring Shorts-Tacular" for Disney channel, and manages to drag Scratch into doing it with her even though he insists on staying out of it on account that some ghosts "hibernate" during part of the spring season. However, since Molly promises to let him open a large Easter egg with a surprise inside at the end of the show (which she dubs the "Mystery Egg"), Scratch's curiosity gets the better of him well enough that he plays along, and thus gives many wisecracks about the shorts as well as attempts to convince/trick Molly to open the egg early. All the while, Libby keeps the show going by reading off cue cards that Molly written (and Scratch occasionally alters when he questions whether or not the Mystery Egg is another one of Molly's schemes). After the final short... a chibi film of him being mistaken for the mother of many baby animals that were born in the spring... Scratch admits he has nightmares about this sort of thing happening to him, hinting that his "ghost hibernation" is a precaution to ensure it never happens for real. To the end, Molly finally authorizes Scratch to open the Mystery Egg, revealing it contains a ghost hibernation kit she threw together for him the last time he mentioned it to her. Before the Spring Shorts-Tacular ends, Molly asks if ghosts really do hibernate during the spring, and Scratch (most likely to put the gift to use later) continues to insist ghost hibernation is a real thing, though whether or not he was bluffing has never been addressed. Either way, he clearly felt he didn't deserve such a wonderful gift, and thus offhandedly suggests that, with the weather being so nice, he'd go on a picnic with the girls instead of sleeping so they'd celebrate spring together, which leads to him going on a tangent about different types of bread to use. Molly goes along with it, rolling her eyes and smiling as she tells him "whatever you say, co-host".
