The McGee's are a family that became the newest residents to the town of Brighton, consisting of Pete McGee, his wife Sharon, and their two kids Molly and Darryl. Due to Pete's job as a city planner, which mainly consists of traveling from town to town and taking up ideas to make the places people live better. The McGee's had been traveling from coast to coast all across America. Unfortunately, leaving them out of touch with non-relatives and making friendship difficult to maintain, yet they intend on making Brighton, one of the most miserable towns in the country, their “forever home” and intend to live in their new house. A haunted “fixer upper”-- for a very long time, much to the annoyance of resident ghost Scratch; who… despite wanting to break the accidental curse he cast on himself binding himself to Molly (thus sparing his already shaky reputation in the Ghost World). Eventually, their friendship grows to actually like his human housemates enough to call himself an “adjacent” to their family.

Grandma Nin⁣ – Grandmother on mother's side. A former resident of Thailand and California, and visits the McGee family when she isn't talking to them on video phone.
Panit Suksai - Grandfather on mother's side, most likely deceased and crossed over.
Scratch - Resident ghost, reluctant guardian to Molly via curse, and “adjacent” family member by eventual choice.
Aunt Jilly McGee- Aunt on father's side. Billy's twin sister, older sister to Pete and sister to Milly, Philly, Willy, Lilly, Tilly, Gilly, and Dilly.
Uncle Billy McGee-Uncle on father's side. Jilly's twin brother, older brother to Pete and brother to Milly, Philly, Willy, Lilly, Tilly, Gilly, and Dilly.
Aunt Milly- paternal aunt
Uncle Philly- paternal uncle
Uncle Willy- paternal uncle
Aunt Lilly- paternal aunt

Uncle Dilly- paternal uncle. Won an award for “best beard” and is the uncle most likely to live in Canada.
Uncle David Suksai - Maternal uncle.
Emmie - Maternal cousin. The only child of Uncle David. Speaks excellent Thai and is more hyperactive than Molly.

McGee Family Tree & Family Crest[]

While there are many versions of the McGee family crest outside the TV show, it boils down to the same basic image: a knight's helmet on top and a shield with three lion faces on it surrounded by leaves. Moving to Brighton[]

McGee's moved into Brighton, likely during the summer because of Molly and Darryl's quick entrance into school, although maybe a few weeks after the school year started. It is unknown where the McGee's lived just before moving to Brighton.
