Kenny likes to think of himself as an ordinary man, as he's relatable in ways that matter such as the fact he "puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else" and prefers burgers and fries over caviar. However, even before the call of fame turned him into a sell-out, he seems to be oblivious to how extraordinary (or at least not-so-normal) he can be via accomplishments such as befriending and riding his beloved pet giant eagle, Stripes, or even becoming a country rocker in the first place. To that end, his claims to be a regular guy often fluctuates between being humble when he's relatable and being in denial when he isn't. He's not oblivious to the opinions of others, however, as he tried to disappear from the paparazzi the second he realizes his harsh reviews were right about him loosing touch with his simple country-born-and-bred roots... roots that, like a turnip, otherwise run deep.

- It is possible that he's close friends with his stunt double, as Molly confusing said double for the real Kenny Star might've played a role in him eventually hiding out in Brighton, along with the fact his fourth cousin once removed went to summer school in this particular town.
- Kenny shares the same first name as his voice actor's last name Tom Kenny, who is well known for voicing the character SpongeBob SquarePants from the iconic Nickelodeon animated series of the same name.
- Coincidently, Scratch's VA Dana Snyder also voices the character GrandPat Star in the SpongeBob spin-off series The Patrick Star Show.
