Presto! Aren't you "Impressed-o?"
—Irving, "All Systems No"

Irving the Illusionist is a street magician who gets a thrill out of bewildering any passerby who sees him with his slight of hand, which so far mainly involves cards, coins, and confetti.

Appearance[]

Physical appearance[]

Irving is a tall, skiy His medium-length brown hair has a lot of loose strands and cowlicks, giving it a disheveled look. This applies to his handlebar mustache as well.

Clothing[]

He wears a purple suit jacket with a yellow polka-dot tie. Subverted that his eccentric attitude and the colors make the get-up look somewhat tacky.

Personality[]

Irving the Illusionist try as he might, Albeit his less than impressive, irving makes his performances seem made to look purposefully shoddy to invoke Molly's contempt for what fake magicians are like. Irving doesn't seem to be bothered by Molly's irrational hatred, he seems to be a baseball fan as he seems to be exuding sportsmanship in the audience, getting extremely excited to the point of hugging a stranger.

Background[]

He's first seen as one of the enthusiastic spectators of the girl's softball game in "The (Un)natural" before properly debuting in "All Systems No" where we see what he does for a living and learn his name. When Molly meets him, she comes to loathe him for the simple fact that he's a magician with the supposed intent of tricking her specifically.

Spain Spanish (Castilian) Nestor Moreno León

Trivia[]

  • He has a strong resemblance to Professor Hinkle from "Frosty the Snowman", whom even the narrator of the holiday special described as "the worst magician in the world". The likeness and shared profession might've just been inspiration.
  • Not all his tricks are terrible, as he sometimes does manage to do a trick correctly without seeming to be aware of it. One example is when he did the cup-and-ball trick in "Scratch the Surface", in which he not only successfully made the ball "disappear", but also caused the stacked cups to levitate for a while before the gently landed back on the table. However, while bragging about how he used "magic" to pull the trick off, Irving unknowingly allowed the ball to fall out of his sleeve, causing Molly (disguised as "cousin Milly") to hate him-- and magicians in general-- all over again.
