I Have a Voice is a song written by Libby Stein-Torres who, after finding out she's a terrible singer, improvises the lyrics into a form of slam poetry for the talent show, which makes the song sound even better and results in a standing ovation, in spite of Scratch's "efforts" to stop her and the crowd from finding happiness in the performance, which were blotched by Molly grabbing him on the stage, creating the illusion of a mime act befitting the lyrics of struggle and triumph.

Libby: I have a voice, hear my battle cry
The spotlights blind me
My fears confine me
I'm scared but I still got to try
Thrown in the fire, kiss my comfort goodbye
I feel the heat on my skin
My head starts to spin
I'm scared but I still got to try
I'm not giving up, gonna look my doubt in the eye
Molly: She’s actually good! And for real this time! Ha! Go, Libby!
Scratch: Boo, Libby! Her misery was gonna set me up for afterlife! That’s it! I’m goin’ in.
Molly: No, no!
Libby: I'm facing my fears, gonna hold my dizzy head high
I won't be cowed by the crowd
Gonna make my mom proud
I'm very scared but I still gotta try
Do not stay silent, don't clam up cause you're shy
If you have something to say
Speak up, don't delay
You can be scared but you still got to try
You can be scared but you still got to try
