"Game On" is the second segment of the eighteenth episode of the second season of The Ghost and Molly McGee, and the seventy-fourth episode overall.

It was released early on Disney+ on November 15, 2023 (alongside "F.O.N.N.A!"), 3 days before premiering simultaneously on Disney Channel and Disney XD.[1]

Synopsis[]

When Principal O'Connor makes Darryl join a team sport, the latter creates a esports team.[1]

Plot[]

Darryl once again finds himself in Principal O'Connor's office. O'Connor suggests that he join a sport team, specifically turnip ball, but instead, Darryl offers that he create an esports team instead as he is better at video games. O'Connor does not think that video games offer cooperation, but Darryl mentions co-op play. They strike a deal, Darryl beat a game of O'Connor's choosing and they will ratify an esports team, if he loses he will play turnip ball. Darryl recruits Molly and Libby into his team, but Scratch wants to join too. Scratch offers to take over Molly's left side (as she is uncoordinated there) and she agrees.

O'Connor picks the game The Fizz Wizz's Emporium, which he claims that he used to play all the time as a kid. The team starts off with Molly and Scratch struggling to control their body, but soon get the hang of it. The game begins with the titular Fizz Wizz trapping the players in his emporium and subjecting them to challenges. Darryl is concerned with getting to the end, to the point that he ignores his teammates. Molly and Scratch continue to try and perform various actions together and figure out a fight move while Libby continues to talk to the NPCs and gives them items. Darryl becomes annoyed and forces the others to follow him.

They reach the final level and encounter the boss, who is controlled by O'Connor himself. Darryl struggles to defeat him and he finally admits that he needs the other's help. Molly and Scratch perfect their fight moves while Libby recruits the NPCs to help her, after she had given them items throughout the playthrough. They finally defeat O'Connor, but Darryl realizes that this was all a test to teach him a lesson on teamwork, which O'Connor confirms. Darryl then decides to accept the win that at least he does not have to play turnip ball. Meanwhile, Molly attempts to do a victory dance with Scratch getting annoyed that she is bad at it.
