Esther Chen is a supporting character in The Ghost and Molly McGee. She is Ruben Chen's wife and the mother of Ollie and June Chen.

She is a Chinese-American[1] woman with short hair, wearing a yellow shirt under an orange jacket, black pants, brown ankle boots, pink lipstick and round purple glasses.
Personality[]
Much like her husband, Ester is convinced that ghosts are evil, though it is mostly because all the "facts" among other ghost-hunting enthusiasts seem to point to them being so (the human world doesn't know as much about ghosts as they think they do, and lean heavily on stereotyping) rather then firsthand experience with them like he did. Being the video director and graphics designer for the Chen family's webshow, she also is easily distracted by the possibility of getting a high rating for their online home movies painting them as heroes fighting supernatural villains. With that said, despite being slow to listen to the plot twist of some ghosts being good despite their reputation for misery, her strong love for her children makes her slightly more likely to listen to them, even though they'd have to goo her to the wall to get her attention. Her happiest thought is one day settling down for a slightly-more-normal family life in which she'd eventually become a grandmother, a confession of which unwittingly freaked out her son, Ollie.
