Relationships[]

Molly McGee[]

Darryl and Molly have a close sibling relationship with each other, though occasionally Darryl's gross or rambunctious antics do get on Molly's nerves. At times, like in "No Good Deed", he tries to follow his sister's advice to become a better person, but usually backfires as he tends to misinterpret the lessons she tries to teach him.

Occasionally, Darryl and Molly can be at odds with each other when they want to compete who's the best, as seen in "A Very Hungry Ghost". However, they will be willing to put their competitions aside if it means helping their family and friends, such as Scratch.

Darryl also does show concern and care for his sister's well-being, such as in "It's Always Sunny in Sunnyland" after he, his parents, Scratch and Libby realize they all have pushed Molly too hard and apologize to her, while also allowing her to finally have fun with them. He also shows his vulnerability to Molly in "100% Molly McGee" by admitting he does sometimes feel he's not Thai enough, although he gets a bit defensive over it since most of his family don't really realize he does have a sensitive side.

Scratch[]

When Darryl and his parents first encountered Scratch, he was sort of frightened at the sight of the ghost, but soon he got interested in Scratch's ectoplasm and started liking him. They soon become good friends, and "No Good Deed" showed that they sometimes share their mutual naughtiness when it comes to tricks and pranks.

However, Scratch can get worried if he thinks Darryl is taking something too far, as seen when Darryl wanted to be a wraith forever in Double, Double, Darryl & Trouble or annoyed when Darryl's schemes have a chance of stopping him from buying stuff like in Davenport's on Demand, staring at him due to possibly wanting Darryl to be quiet about buying fireworks in front of his parents, not wanting the boy to cost him the Davenport app.

June Chen[]

Darryl and June are good friends despite their different personalities. Darryl is fun-loving, when June prefers research. In The Grand Gesture they cooperated to study an ectoplasm sample from Scratch. After a lab accident, Darryl accidentally gave the ectoplasm a small amount of sentience. Once they learned the ectoplasm creature, now known as Junior, hungered for electricity and was growing at a dangerous rate, Darryl and June tried to stop it from destroying Brighton.
