"All Shark No Bite" is the first segment of the ninth episode of the second season of The Ghost and Molly McGee, and the fifty-fifth episode overall.
It premiered early on June 28, 2023 on Disney+, and had its official premiere on July 8, 2023 simultaneously on Disney Channel and Disney XD, alongside "Nin-dependence".[1]
Synopsis[]
With Mom and Dad out of the house, Molly, Darryl, and Scratch watch a scary movie.[1]
Plot[]
Pete and Sharon decide to have a date night, leaving Molly, Darryl, and Scratch home alone. The three hurriedly usher the parents out the door with Scratch wanting to try his spa things for himself. However, as soon as Pete and Sharon leave, Molly and Darryl reveal their true intentions to watch Fins of Fear, a scary horror movie about a ghost shark. Scratch thinks it is ridiculous as he wanted a quiet evening, but Molly and Darryl coax him into watching the movie with them. Afterwards, the three are frightened with Molly and Darryl wondering if ghost sharks are real. Scratch denies this and uses his Chairman powers to prove it by "summoning" a ghost shark. Nothing seems to happen and they pay no mind.
Soon after, a ghost shark materializes in the house, frightening the three. Scratch claims that he cannot "unsummon" it because he cannot think of a rhyme to do so and they are forced to use a wagon and brooms to navigate around the house. The three attempt to out paddle the shark and make it to the stairs with Scratch claiming that ghost sharks cannot go upstairs. Just as he begins to second guess this information, the ghost shark proceeds to swim up the stairs. The same thing happens when they head up into the attic with Scratch second guessing the idea that ghost sharks can climb ladders, trapping the three in Molly's room.
To deter the shark, the three proceed to toss plushies as the shark who promptly eats them all before going after the bed they are sitting on. Scratch begins to wonder when the shark will be full, which at that moment results in the shark spitting out one of Molly's plushies. Molly comes to the realization that the shark only acts when Scratch makes a suggestion. The shark was not summoned, it was created by Scratch. Scratch proceeds to order the shark to do things before converting it into a tiny adorable shark. Molly gives a fourth-wall breaking speech about sharks in media before they all relax with Scratch's spa things. Pete and Sharon return home and (while glad that everyone is perfectly fine with nothing bad to report) opt to not question the presence of the ghost shark.
